I've been learning lots of John Ireland recently. A very underrated composer.

What a wonderful variety of pianistic interests in this group.I love playing chess when time allows and am currently preparing a series of recitals for the new year including the Ligeti inventions, Kabalevskys 24 Preludes and Chopins first Sonata. All the works are rarely played but all are wonderful to study and play with quite a few challenges.
I am just these days re-learning a piece I played in my youth, viz, Mendelssohn's Rondo Capriccioso. Love the piece!
Not a concert guy but did do work in my youth 30+ yrs ago on piano, singing and bass. Tune piano for living back then, too. Church pianist. I try classical occasionally; takes a lot of time an practice. I've gotten fair results with Jesu: Joy of man's Desire by Bach and, latest, Pachebell's Canon in D major.
I am working on 6 Sonatinas Op.64 - Muzio Clementi. It is a big deal to memorise all of 6 sets in a long term.
I could never play anything fast. Or anything difficult, for that matter!
Haven't played for quite a while now, but came across this in the last week:

I am sure there are style pointers to be made. I had very few lessons a long time ago.
Hi, I've just joined this group. I'm working on Astor Piazzolla's 'Retrato de Alfredo Gobbi', and J.S.Bach's Prelude and Fugue no.12
