It's not practical to overturn results, since that would have affected later pairings.

Agreed. Just like it's not practical to award points to people who played cheaters. If somehow you end up playing 3 cheaters, then should you just get 3 free points? What about the other players who didn't get a chance to play you? There isn't a fair way to do it, so it's best not to. Also I believe he only played 3 games.
