Just a small note/correction: I am not asking for membership, but rather was offered it, and have since noticed it's a swindle, a ruse, and is not forthcoming based on various evidence. What I've done is point out that it is increasingly obvious that I joined under false pretenses, based on jeddy commenting to the watchers of live chess matches (me included) that joining would get one said membership. So again: I didn't ask for it, I was offered it, and it is becoming increasingly clear that it is not forthcoming and is rather a clever way to grow a chess club. Take that information as you will, but I have to say that I for one resent it.
