The najdorf
Please tell me the best variation which i can play with sicilian defense
Scheveningen. It is one of the most solid openings which I have played. It was used by the greatest chess player Garry Kasparov.
The najdorf
The najdorf
Please suggest any one of three options
I would say the Accelerated Dragon is the most solid, but the hyperaccelerated dragon is quite fine too.
But I'm not so sure about the Flohr Sicilian, I just feel you will transpose into an inferior version of another sicilian
Well, if you want to play the Sicilian with Black, you always have to know the first possibilities White can play against you to get you out of your comfort zone (1.e4 c5 2.c3 ?? -> the Alapin). It's quite stupid to focus on one variation of the Sicilian because there are so many variations.
Don't study the openings, study the positions and plans you get of the openings. By this you see if the Sicilian is really an opening you want to play or not.

I have ideas to play against Alapin , Morra , Closed sicilian etc.
I studied the positions and plans
I see that sicilian is the opening i want
Which variation you think is best 1)Flohr
2)Accelerated dragon
3)Hyper accelerated Dragon
Bobby Fischer and Nakamura said the Najdorf was the best.
I decided to play the Kan variation
Thanks for the suggestion
Good choice, the Kann and the Taimanov variations are very similar and not very well known at a club level. The idea is to play d5 in one move. U must not hurry with Qc7 like in the Flohr variation. Is more important to play the knights first and only later decide if u want ur Q in c7 or a5.
I didn't learn this opening until a Catalan Master crushed me in the Taimanov with an opening trap. I'll post u the game:
Which is the best and rare variation in sicilian defense
