The Ruy Lopez Exchange Variation is good for endgame lovers, because there are lines where you can trade a bunch of pieces early, and with the added benefit that you'll be winning in any K+P endgame because of Black's messed up Queenside pawns, which means, you can utilise your Kingside majority to full effect, given that the pawns are healthy, but Black can't utilise his Queenside majority, because the pawns aren't healthy. Hope that helped :)
