Blackmar-Diemer Gambit: Netherlands Defense Miniature.
The BDG: Netherlands defense is an ill advised defense to the BDG IMHO.

I always love to see the Netherlands defense from Black.
Here is a BDG: Gunderdam/Tartakower Defense miniature.
Good game BEES, yes, I also think that The Long Bogo is the most correct answer (since the Bc4 has been analyzed to exhaustion), but I think that the Bg5 variation could be better than the Bf4 line.
Nice finish. I am considering taking up Qd2 in the Euwe, as I find that's the defense that gives me the most trouble these days. Bit slower and more complicated than the 0-0 -> Qe1 -> Qh4 plan, but Black has simple ways to thwart that caveman attack and make Qe1 seem out of place.
Had the longest losing streak I've ever had in blitz (18 games in a row) on Sunday. I blame drinking heavily, staying up till 5am saturday night, waking up on the wrong side of the bed, playing chess in a dumpy mood anyway, and not quitting after losing 5 in a row, as is my usual rule.
The other thing is that I watched some lectures on the Portuguese Gambit and picked up some new tactical ideas from that, but my brain needed time to start integrating that. The main strategical point being... you must always move forward in any gambit. So forward is now my new motto. You know the old adage, you have to get worse to get better sometimes? That's sort of where I am right now.
So now I have some rating damage to repair. But, I got this remarkable Euwe miniature to kick off my recovery.

After the game I checked with the computer and these are the best moves for white up to move 7.
