I don't play chess well, but the BDG has put a well needed punch in my game.
I do enjoy this opening quite a bit! If only I can find a black opening that is just as much fun.

Maybe you can play the Scandinavian defense. Most of the time, you can play your opening, and you don´t have to spend much time in the first moves, since they are usually always the same (and it´s difficult to get a lost position early in the game). I´m talking about the Modern Scandinavian with Qxd5 and then Qa5.
Paleface (Anti-INDIAN BDG) Attack
A1Rajjpuut vs. N.N. (inexperienced player) @ chess.com
1.d4 Nf6 with Indian positions to follow -- unless dissuaded
2.f3 d5 Many, not only Gruenfeld players, will adopt this line
3.e4 dxe4
4.Nc3 exf3 You’re 290% more likely to arrive here in BDG Land
after 2. f3 than following 2. Nc3 which will have you
playing the weaker Hubsch Gambit almost every time
Black varies from Indian lines.
5.Nxf3 Bg4 The Teichmann Variation of the BDG, my favorite
6.h3 Bxf3
7.Qxf3 Nc6 Black usually plays 7. c6 and gets a far stronger game
8.Bb5 . . . 8. d5 is more popular for White, but this is far stronger
8 . . . Qd6
9.d5 Qe5+ 9. a6 is frequent -- White would respond with 10. Bf4
10.Be3 Nxd5 Black’s inexperience and two less-than-sterling earlier
moves has put him in a pickle
11.Nxd5 Rd8
12.O-O-O a6 Only now is a6 played
13.Bf4 and Bf4 is even more powerful
13 . . . Qf5
14.Nxc7# 1-0
It has been quite some time since I played the BDG... starting to get back into it lately. I forgot just how quickly Black can go wrong. ... this was a 24hr/move game.
I checked my sac to see if it was sound. It nearly was (-.40). Missed a forced queen trade with best play. White can simply collect a +0.5 advantage with 7.Nxf6 followed by Qxd4. After the queens and pieces are traded, White has the pawn back and the bishop pair.
However, after Ke6 instead of Kg8, White is winning.
my latest game against a 2015 rated player who after being defeated by a mere 1800 player was gracious enough to accuse me of using an engine..
Social panda, i do prefer the main line d4 d5, but in my game black played d4 Nf6, so you have to play f3 or Nc3 to try to transpose to the BDG, Diemer have come with this idea of playing f3 after Nf6

oh, sorry David, I was talking about playing 6.h3.
I used to play the long Bogo but had 3 straight losses against 2300s. Two were Scandi players who knew nothing about the gambit but easily found critical moves. One of them is a sparring partner on a server I'm on. Many people on this server believe g6 to be the most critical try against the BDG and in my experience that seems to be holding true.
Recently, I have got reacquainted with an old chess friend.
He moved away from Denver about 7 years ago, but we have been playing correspondence chess over the internet. He was undefeated for those years in Denver. Not any more, thanks to the BDG!
3 in a Row! Here is the latest game.
