This is a little late, but today's puzzle is...different from usual ones.
Usually, if you lose a piece in the middle game, you play on (never resign!), and hopefully you can regain that piece. In the endgame, a lost piece is less likely to be regained (less tactics), but never resign. Even if you can't win, can you draw? These are NOT uncommon in the endgame!
There are two very related tactics "stalemate" and "desperado"
What's desperado? You desperately try to force a stalemate upon yourself? How? Desperately give up all your pieces, or make sure none of them can move.
Practice: Don't answer this question in the form!
