Thanks so much for the analysis!

Some feedback as a viewer on what was most helpful to me:

  • Discussion of "Which move the mistake was on" was great. I can run the engine to get its opinion, but sometimes the mistakes identified by the engine were not finding an only move to get out of a tricky situation. Identifying an earlier move that could've avoided the tricky spot altogether is very useful.
  • Focus on critical moments and candidate moves was also handy. In particular, describing the strategic ideas behind the candidate moves (in this game - looking for pawn breaks when the king is in the center). Getting your view on what moves to consider in critical spots, and the reasons why, is really helpful - regardless of whether those moves end up being the ones recommended by Stockfish.

Overall, it was great hearing your thoughts without the engine, and I appreciated the focus on some of the practical aspects of the game.

Also glad that Memphis could join in for the analysis happy.png
