Can anybody explain to me exactly how the format works? I'm a bit slow and I haven't quite figured it out yet.
There are 12 teams in each division, and six weeks of matches. That means every team will play six other teams in their division. In other words, not every team will play each other before the playoffs. How does this work, and am I missing something? Thanks.
There are actually seven weeks in the regular season. The seventh week pairings will match the teams which are competing for a playoff spot against each other.
One thing that you notice is that teams from the same country do tend to get paired against each other, eg. Toronto vs. Montreal, Marseille vs. Cannes, London Lions vs. London Towers all in round 2.
