as far as I can tell (not much), rushing for promotion is not a good early choice, it opens you up for double attacks and checks, and other players will try to stop you.
promote on 11th
Then there will be no promoted queen. It will be VERY RARE to see pawns being promoted into a queen, just like in team games. If you played team games, you are probably aware that it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to have a second queen. It is no different as if you don't want to see queens worth 1 point.
I feel like it could be less pleasant because it would take forever to get a second queen or getting your queen back in case you lost the first one. Also, even if you make a mistake, you have less chance to win because your pawns are less likely to save your game since they will be promoted on 11th square. 3 MORE MOVES is a lot. Do you think you can only focus on pushing the pawn for 11 turns? I highly doubt since there will be distractions. Furthermore, there will be more obstacles you have to face, which will eventually decrease the probability of winning the game. As most of you are aware, pawns can save your game, but if the promotion is on 11th rank, then you have less chance to get 1st place especially when an enemy already has a queen (including rooks & bishop) or who has a superiority on pieces.
At the beginning of the game, there are players pushing pawn for a queen, but they are likely to be stopped by players on both/one of the sides. When I see a player on my right or left rushing to promote a pawn, I try to stop it with my knight or with my pawns depending on the situation, and I'm not the only one doing that. Sometimes, no one will prevent you when you are pushing the pawn(s). Besides, possessing multiple queens doesn't guarantee the victory. I have seen players having multiple queens since the beginning, and they ended up losing the game.

It depends on the situation, but I somewhat agree because the more queens you have, the more players will be willing to eliminate you first. But even at the middle/end when you have more than 2 queens or when your pawns are advancing, someone will try to sacrifice their pieces to prevent you having another queen. Sometimes, when there are 3 players, the 2 other players are busy killing each other, 1 player will advance the pawn quietly and will win the game. Or the other player is simply not interested on the adversary who is becoming powerful (player facing each other) and keeps harassing the enemy on the right or left rather than blocking the person advancing multiple pawns.
I suggest the option to allow promotion on 11th rank in rated FFA games, it will be more fun when players are not only trying to promote like kids.
