Something from this morning me and my family was taking about, I just wanted to share with you guys!

I came across Malachi 3:3  “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver”  and a story that profoundly illustrated the meaning of this verse.

Someone had asked a silversmith to watch what this process of refining silver actually looks like and discovered something deeply symbolic. The silversmith explained that in order to refine silver, he must place it in the hottest part of the fire. That’s the only way to burn away all the impurities. But he also emphasized something crucial: he can never take his eyes off the silver. Even a moment too long in the flame would damage it. So he watches it carefully, patiently, attentively, the entire time.

When asked how he knows when the silver is fully refined, the silversmith responded, “That’s easy, when I can see my reflection in it.”

It brought such clarity to Malachi 3:3. God is not distant in our trials. When we feel the heat of hardship, the fire of pain, or the burn of refinement, we’re not abandoned. We’re being watched closely, lovingly, by the Refiner Himself. He knows exactly how long the process must take, and He never leaves us unattended.

Just like the silver, we are being shaped until His image is reflected in us.

That is poetic, beautiful and at the same time completely true
