I forgot how hard that 3rd one is 😭😭😭

Yeah that one is crazy...

omg that 3rd one is tough and I didn't spend enough time on it -- went straight to hints. #2 was really nice, trying to decide how to get your king somewhere that the check could be blocked successfully.

Yeah I always try to find relatable and important scenarios that have multiple mixed patterns but that third one can actually help a lot if you play it multiple times and understand it

yeah if I understood the 3rd one -- I'd be a way better player LOL

The first move, Rxb3, is a trade down but they have an eventual forced mate on you if you don’t take the trade. 2. Bxb7 is an attack on the queen that they can’t take unless they want to lose, then you move queen out of the way to threaten again and the queen can’t be traded out or you’ll lose your pressure. Trading rooks is a forced move for the opponent and makes it so you can fork the queen, which you do to end it out. They needed to take the rook because otherwise they would have a forced mate upon them and lose even faster than if they kept their queen.

the puzzles themselves are not done on the chessup, but are simply a community thing in the club. you can do the puzzles on the boards in the forum and ask questions about any moves you struggle with.

Ik, like, setting it up on board editor and playing analyzing it with the analysis bar playing against a bot etc.
