Puzzles- actually useful in EVERY game...

Puzzles are more accessible for free. I'm around 1900 on lichess because they let you have unlimited puzzles.

If you have chess.com premium account though, I would say that the chess.com lessons are really good for learning opening theory and stuff.

You have to do both, lichess puzzles are very good, chess.com are timed if you want so the pressure of a game aspect comes into play. But you need both to grow. Lessons from good players. Taught how you learn, so there are many aspects to find the groove.
