So recently I stumbled across this server online that lets you play variants like capablanca, grand, crazyhouse, shogi, and xiangqi. It has a interface similar to |L|I|C|H|E|S|S| (slightly encoded for moderator reasons), and it's pretty advanced. Try it here.
