Q&A session

netsitechess suggested an astronomy Q&A session in the chat room. Interesting idea which might be worth trying if there is any interest.

Normally such a thing might involve a small number of selected authorities and a group of people asking questions, but I feel many people here might know things about different parts of astronomy, so it would  be reasonable to allow people to answer where they have some knowledge to offer.

If there is enough interest in this, it will require a scheduled time at which people can arrive and enter the chat room. We would find out if there is sufficient interest.

I will only join if you let RPaul answer the questions

Bilbo21 is not a member of this group and has boasted of his ability to do harm to this group (clearly as pathologically misguided revenge against me).

RPaulB would be as welcome to answer questions as anyone else. Of course his answers would be as subject to scientific scrutiny as those of anyone else.

The forums are open for discussion of all topics that have some connection to astronomy. Are you blaming those who post for the fact that others do not?

Would you like to see/be part of, this discussion calum?

Perhaps this forum should be restarted. I have questions, & may be able to supply answers to some topics.

Think I'll chuck a trivia question in here. What is the second brightest object in the night sky after the Moon?

[WARNING: trick question]
