Queen

Which song ?

Queen....by a country mile!.........although the Beatles have had a good run and myriad hits, I've always preferred Qyeen , as well as the gritty rock of the Stones and LZ and other groups over the light and lilting tune smithing of Lennon McCartny I'll add the Doors and Tull over the Beatles as wll, other votes on demand LOL

Warnefrit

We are talking about two different historical periods. The Beatles were the best in their era, and Queen so.

It's all personal opinion but always fun to talk about. I don't believe the Beatles were ever the best but that also depends on your definition of the best.

Warnefrit

I agree. I am too young to like The Beatles, anyway.

meadlover5848

Yeah I kinda missed their heyday by a couple of years myself. I was always a big Moody Blues fan.

Much better (than Beatles) Quincy Conserve, since 1967

How old are you?

Warnefrit

I was born in 1972, I am 46. Even Jethro Tull started in England in 1967 with this song

BEATLES: Without them, their evolution as a band, with harmonies, theatrics, etc, Queen never happens.

Are you serious ?? really !! The Beatles are like Brazil in football & Queen like... well... I don't know... Belgium, Poland... or if you prefer Mike Tyson vs a little rabbit !

I'm not talking "I want to hold your hand" but Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt. Peppers, Abbey Road and the White album. I like Queen alot but they are derivative compared to Beatles. Has something to do with different eras and people's ages I bet. Beatles were '60s and early '70s, Queen the '70s and '80s, both drove there fans wild live and rocked stadiums in there day.

agree with Warnefrit as I read back

Forget Queen and The Beatles!  Being a classic R&R afficionado, I prefer The Rolling Stones and The Dave Clark Five from the British Invasion and Chuck Berry and Buddy Holley from original R&R.
