My guess is that your rating was not within the constraints required to join the tournament.

first of all you need to be a USCF member. then you apply for the club. it has a goofy name related to the USCF. when they approve, then you can join the uscf tourneys

Im unsure, but what I know is longer controls are better!
When did you try to get in? If it was later in the tourney, the last open slot may have been filled.
If it was early in the tourney and you had the live session open already when your request was approved, you may have needed to exit live and enter again for the system to successfully see the membership.
I was there when he tried to join. It was open, and there were only like 40 people or something. He chated and asked why it does'nt let him join but no one answered. Maybe it was a glitch. If not, Something had to be wrong.
No.. I have been playing onlinec USCF tournaments on ICC as well . so am pretty sure it didn't expire..
Hello. Last Monday I tried to join the USCF tournament (10|0 time control). And a messaged poped up saying I couldn't join and I had to refresh the page or something like that . . . . . .
