but the problem was that the episode 4 5 and 6 was old you should see the movie about obi-wan and his fight with vader is pretty cool so i would say vader and either way vader is more experienced the way he is able to use the force against a lightsaber is really cool
Purely skill, probably anakin. Vader has robotic limbs and his suit prevents as much mobility as Anakin has. Mentally, I think vader would win since he withstood everything previously

vader is more better with the force than anakin and since vader has robotic limbs he can use his saber pretty quickly have you seen the terminator he is incredibly heavy and he is fighting and walking like a regular human

Vader is inhibited by his mechanical replacements, while peak Anakin mopped the floor with the entire Jedi temple, Separatist armies and generals, and is kinda more powerful than Yoda.
As for Vader, hatred fueled his Dark Side powers, but faded over time, therefore allowing Luke to mop him like a puddle.
Peak Vader would have just flopped Luke like an omlet.

true and vader also looked kinda old as well so luke won because of that as well but we can't really say who is stronger vader or anakin because they are both the same
Anakin would win because Palpatine intentionally nerfed vader's power by refusing to teach him sith abilities, and by giving him limbs that were designed to be painful and hardly functional. If palpatine had not handicapped vader, vader would win with out much trouble, but Anakin's better mobility and ability to concentrate would give him a decisive advantage.

Vader was not trying to kill Luke because he was told by Palpatine that he had killed padame and did not want to kill his son in a similar way. He also wanted luke to rule the galaxy, and wanted his help to kill the emperor.
Luke would have been trashed by Vader just because of his lack of training if Vader was actually trying to hurt him.
That being said Luke at his peak in legends would easily be able to destroy any version of vader or Anakin.
Who will you think would win, Anakin Skywalker or Darth Vader?
