Question of the week #1

So I'm starting a series I will ask a question every Sunday (or Monday depending on your timezone) to ask a question. The goal is that everyone in the club know eachother better.

When did you start playing chess?

2~ years ago during the pandemic, but it was right before the chess boom, so it looked like i was following the crowd

I started playing chess when I was only 6 years old! I was a 1st grader back then.

I then continued to forge a reputation as the #1 chess player in my school (but I was pretty bad at the time they were just worse than me). 2 years ago I joined a chess club in my school that introduced me to chess.com! The club died pretty quickly but I had the occasion to get friends.

Cool! I was in 8th grade at the time

When I was about 6-7 years old....my Dad and Mum used to play, Dad got busy with business, so I began playing against mum. She also inspired me to write poetry, sing, draw, take pictures and instilled in me my love of reading books....!

I think I as about 10 years old my Dad pulled the chess board, I toke immediate interest in the game. He then showed me the 4 move checkmate, I think it was my first game. I have loved the game ever since, I have played thought out the years, but hardly anybody I knew played, it wasn't till this last year that a friend showed me chess.com, and I found more people to play. Love the game as always!

Late last year

Hello my friends well i started playing chess on school when i had 15 years so this is almost 50 years ago but during years and years when i worked i didn't play ! So now i stop with working i start again i think it is 4 years ago !!

can't remeber but "real" chess, i mean strategical and with tactics i started only a year and a half ago.

I started learning tactics around the start of October this year.

on the day I joined chess.com lol but I haven't played actively for months
