Questions About Speedrunning
there is a page where Tom posted information about applying for verified alternate accounts. You have to fill out a google form which will ask you a couple of questions such as your username and why you want a verified alternate account. Speedrun accounts fall under the category, and if you do get approved for it, yes you do have to stream while doing it, and the admins will keep track that it will be your alternate account. Whether or not you could submit a recording, you can ask admins for special permission to do that since it is not far off from streaming.
1Username2awesome3 why dont you try 8 player chess instead? you are a penguin
I don't have Twitch or YouTube, nor do I have the intention to currently make one, but I can use Microsoft OneDrive to share the recording files.

If recordings are allowed, here is some test footage so that the admins can see my setup.

LOL
I can't guarantee that there will be sound, but I can submit a 720p or 1080p quality recording by OneDrive or chess.com embed.
Alternate accounts are not allowed, even for speedrunning. Alternate accounts by famous players are watched carefully by staff.

That being said I might not be able to do an "offline" speedrun, I could just close this account and then start a new one
Yes, you must stream, but you don't have to webcam for it.
In the article it says, "This kind of thing is not allowed otherwise, and only happens with special approval from Chess.com staff." @AdamRaichu , administrators here are well connected with staff, and we clear this with them before we approve of 4PC-specific speedrun accounts. Hence, chess.com staff approval.

I've seen players like @Karmas_Revenge close and make like 5 "new accounts" (not alts) and play games on them. I won't be doing this, but how on Earth is this allowed? It's entirely possible to go back onto old accounts, such as in the case of @IntelligentChessOwl8, so I don't exactly understand how "new accounts" work compared to "alt accounts".
