Questions about the 4 Player Chess rules

Well, I was wrong. When you check 2 kings at a time the server adds you +5. But when you check 1 king with 2 pieces the server does not add +5. So, the double check in chess.com interpretation works like this. Or it is a bug.

The move after the picture, yellow plays Qh1 checkmate (on red) .. it's a dire situation for red, but should the interface have called mate immediately given that green *could* have played PxQ ?

(I played rubbish as red, lets not dwell on that part )

Hopefully, someone will give a more technical explanation but I believe that FFA counts mate when played, regardless of whose turn it is or if there are ways to block it by other players.

Teams counts mates when it is your (the mated player's) turn.

These rules are, to some extent, arbitrary, there is no "proper" rule, if that makes sense. I personally find them intuitive...It is easy to remember that you lose when your mated in FFA. As for teams, it makes sense that your partner should have a chance to step in. To directly answer your question, the interface definitely could have waited to call mate. Whether it should is simply a matter of opinion unless admins want to revisit this rule.

@HSCCCB many thanks for the answer. I've been watching carefully and the behaviour is at least consistent, so I'll just incorporate the information into my calculations.
