I have 2 questions, or rather 2 wishes (I'm not sure this is the place to ask) :

-would you please insert boards with coordinates in your posts Michael ?

-can you program the page in such a way that the box we post our comment in is placed at the top of the page rather than all the way at the bottom ? It makes it much easier to see the board (I'm thinking of the Vote Chess boards) and write...

Thanks for whatever you can do.

If there is a way to do that I don't know it.If someone else knows it please inform me.

I noticed that I got first the solution of the endgame puzzles #12 and then the puzzles to solve. I think that it is more useful to change the order !Could you do this next time ?

I received a message from Michael-G  on Apr 11, 2012 @ 2:31pm with the Title Endgame Puzzle # 12 , 3 pawn endgames positions with notation.A bit later I received a message from Michael-G Apr 11, 2012 @ 2:56pm with the Same Title and the same positions  with the only difference that there is no notation but puzzles to solve.

I think we benefit more if you give us first the puzzles and then the solutions to the puzzles, am I right ? I hope you understand what i want to say .

Michael-G

I didn't want to give you the solutions of the puzzles , that was a mistake.

also I have got a big tourney coming up in about 3 weeks time and I'm wondering what I should be doing to prepare for it? I think that I need to win 4 out if 6 games to go onto the next round.. I am struggling with the Rubensteins variation too, especially when White pins Nf6 I am unsure what to do..

Also, Michael what do you think is the best way to prepare for a tourney coming up in a couple weeks time?

Michael-G

Do what Reshevsky did

Marcus-101

and he did what....? lol

I play tournaments reguraly. But I have never really prepared for a tournament. Do  you know who you're playing ? If not how do you want to prepare ? Then  you don't know which openings  you likely will be faced. And Opening Preparation isn't important if you aren't at least advanced player (1800+) If this is true for you  I would advice you to focus on tactics and strategy (opening principles and middlegame strategy) and some basic endgames . Make  mainly tactic puzzles and some endgame puzzles , make you aware of the plans you want to follow at the middlegame in your  preferred openings. I think that is what I would do to prepare for a tournament !

Nothing!!!Laughing
