Quick mates and traps

For Benko Gambit lovers like me, here's a trap to avoid.
as a religious benko gambiteer,I take heed
aye aye !!

Alright. Haven't seen a post in a while. Here's one to chew on.
Nice... and other continuations
check out move list. I love the from Gambit. There is this guy who plays the Bird at the club here and he has yet to look up this line to see what he is doing wrong... I think white's best option is to only take one pawn or play one of the center pawns immediately and transpose to a King Gambit type structure.
Here's an oldie, but goodie. Pete, when are you going to start the Ruy Lopez study?
Man I just started looking at it... sadly... I didn't see the simple fork! lol.

I'm posting this here because this forum appears to be the most popular forum of the group. Let's go back down memory lane for a moment:
"Ideally, your post should be from a game that you have played where either you used a cool trick, or you were the victim of a wicked trap in the opening. For the sake of time (we are all busy people), post the link to the game if possible. Those of us who play a lot of speed chess should have a LOT to contribute here. If you don't have a game like that, then post an interesting trap you know that's 15 moves or less.
I'm looking forward to seeing 100% participation in this forum. This will be lots of fun! Let's see how it goes." [Word in red are quotes from Christian ].
Since playing on Chess.com, I have been a member of a total of three groups including this one. I left the other two groups for three main reasons:
1. Plenty of spectators, but few contributors - There were dozens of players with 2000+ ratings who never contributed anything but critiques. This caused me to wonder how these players acquired such high ratings...hmmm.
2. Too many proud members - Players with ratings of 1800 or lower either felt that they had nothing to offer, or that their contribution would be hammered by higher rated players, thus bruising the ego.
3. Bad posts - There were too many posts on topics which were unrelated to chess, or just plain uninteresting. And then there were so many of those posts about the 'C' word (I refuse to use that word!).
I am appealing to all member to contribute at least one game per month, not necessarily here, but one game. With the number of strong and experienced chess players in this group, we should not have any forum where only two or three members contribute. As far as I know, we are not in a contest to see who can post the coolest stuff. If there is a contest, then what is the prize? Ladies, I wanna hear ya! Some of you ladies are strong players with lots of chess wisdom. Don't hide it, but divide it.
This post is not intended to be harsh, but it's intended to challenge, encourage, and inspire participation from everyone.

Okay here's one I just finished the other day - third time I was playing the guy.
I think I'm going to post the other games I played with him in another forum for you guys to have a look at - but this is a sweet 9 move miniature I like to call
4... Ke7??
Enjoy!
