I've made a checkmate in 3 moves before, you just need to be white, move your king piece 2 forward for the first move, move your queen all the way out diagonally fully assuming they haven't put a piece in place to stop you, next you have to move the king's bishop out so that the queen and it are meeting up at the same spot, assuming they haven't done anything to stop you, then also assuming they haven't blocked your bishop's line of range, move your queen into position to deal the checkmate. If they have moved out other pieces allowing the king to move, it will take at least 2 more moves in order to checkmate.
