I'm starting this thread because the chat feature is probably not the best venue for debate.

1. "Without wages and private ownership of the means of production, there would be no incentive to create, innovate, or even be productive."

Beyond the "incentive" to survive? Last time I ate, I wasn't compelled to do so by "market forces" or by the prodding of a boss. Is this just anomalous behaviour in your account?

domcd

"If the product of your labors is communal, then there is no incentive to be more productive than the next guy."

Which in no way supports the idea that we'd all wallow in our own shit were we not being whipped into action.

"Additionally, such a system would inevitability collapse due to bickering, infighting, and splintering off, over exactly HOW goods, property, and resources are to be distributed. Who gets what and how much. Also, establishment of this kind of system would require the theft of property by force and violence, all in the name of "The Greater Good ". The sovereignty of the individual is thus comprised."

The first bit is a bare assertion. It's also an empirical claim that's rendered highly suspect through counter examples.

domcd

The second bit is circular.

domcd

The third bit is just false. The argument relies on a false dichotomy; a dichotomy which capitalist theory/praxis does nothing to relieve.

I mirror your thought domcd. The idea that only way people can be incentivised to produce us through material gain has been engrined in us by the capitalist system through childhood education and the media. They have created in us the habit of consumerism .They need people to never be happpy with what they have.So you produce to consume if that is not slavery then what is.

I agree. "anarcho"capitalism is just the most dangerous unleashed capitalism and has nothing whatsoever to do with anarchism.
