"Boomerang Pods" Falling From River Birches

Here in Southeastern Virginia today thousands of "Boomerang Pods" have been
falling from the local trees.  I believe they are River Birches although I wouldn't
swear to it.  They are so fun to watch.  I go outside with my dogs and they
watch and jump at them as the brown unevenly shaped pods catch a current
of wind and fall to the Earth, mixing in with the many Pine Pods that are
already on the lawn.
Sometimes a white or Monarch butterfly mixes into the ride or even a huge
bumblebee, creating a strange dance of nature clashing with the man-made
sounds of this country plot that is now begrudgingly becoming a city.  The pods will move downward until a gust sends them hurtling sideways like a warped Frisbee, and sometime even appear to move upward as well.
Then the wind stops and the sun glares and not a pod falls from a tree.  Just
like in life a calm precedes the storm of change and then returns to calm again.

I always thouroughly enjoy your journal-esque posts, zank.

I encourage you to continue as frequently as can... please!

And if you're regular enough, maybe I'll sticky a dedicated thread like I did with the "Quote of the Day" when it was relatively active!

Thanks Writch.  I'm glad you enjoy these writings.  However, I was a math teacher and this writing is all new to me(Math SAT 730 English SAT 560) so I
am trying to improve my English skills as I get older.
I'm not sure I could write on a deadline because when I write the thoughts
form in my head(like a pictue) and I just write it down.  I also write songs now
for fun when they pop into my brain.  Sometimes it happens at AM 3:00 so I keep a notepad and pen nearby.
Whenever I try to force the creative process I get writer's block, isn't that
strange?  Anyway, I will try to write more but I can't make a promise.  Ciao.

Well, the idea was impetus me to put up that new topic thread (PWoC's Hive Journal) as I just described there and as a News post. So now you're personally off the hook, but now you have a dedicated table to park it chew the fat when you do feel "inspired."

It kick-started an idea here too!  I'll work on it and post it when it's presentable!
