Hmm.  Interestingly how the connected pawns can force a draw.  I'm sure I've lost a few such endgames from the R-side.

Yes, there are some situations with a single pawn that also force rook sacrifices.

I'll have to remember that tail-hook technique.

If the stronger side's king is in a good enough position and the pawns are central enough the king and rook can still win. See puzzle #3.

Yes.  The 2nd move is the key.  I didn't spot the difference between it and Kd1.

Kd1 is still winning. Apologies for any confusion. I so wish there was a way to make puzzles with 'free moves' when there is an alternative solution.

Fixed. Good problem I thought. It took me a while to figure it out anyway.

I thought you can win with that game.

No, you can't stop Black from queening so the trick is to force a draw. (There's also no way to win the queen or pawn outright.)
