Rating Explanation

Can anyone please explain to me what Rating Composition is? When you click on a user's profile in Variants, the little pop-up window has 2 tabs, one is Ratings and the other is Rating Composition. I don't understand the difference and why they have the latter.

And, on that note, I don't understand the 'rating' of Games Played. Please help! Thanks folks.

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others

I hope that one day all variants will only have a composite rating

Wow helpful animal farm

In any case, rating is basically your rating from solely playing a variant. However, with rating composition, the server takes an average of all the relevant ratings to make a single rating or ‘rating composition’ for a variant.

ex: Leapers (new extra variant) has torpedo and rapid as a time frame. So your rating for Leapers would be directly equivalent to the amount of games you’ve won or lost. However, rating composition will take into account your torpedo rating, rapid rating, etc. and form an average rating. An easy way to see the effect of this is to play a custom variant, where some people have higher ratings than others

So, how does @tainayaya have a Rating Composition for Games Played of over 74,000 when is highest rating is only ~2,300 in Blitz Giveaway?
