Hmm, chess mentor's rating system is seriously biased towards a higher rating. On CM my rating is 1631, but my Online Chess is only a mere 1025. All my live ratings are in the zone of 800-1000.
relation between Chess Mentor rating and Online Chess Rating
I believe there is less disparity between Chess Mentor and live or standard ratings, as compared to blitz or bullet ratings. This is probably because one spends more time thinking about the solution with Chess Mentor -- there is no clock. I suspect that actual ratings would approach Chess Mentor ratings if time did not matter.

so.. i dont understand like anything in those lessons, just picking a good move from time to time (and no idea how i got that rating)
1.) should I lose rating on purpose to get lessons better suited for me?
or 2.) are the cm/lessons there to give you insight on ideas you cant really work out based on basic logic/understanding of chess?
or 3.) (not sure if that works, havent even tried yet) pick lessons manually by rating instead of playing the lessons that automatically come up due to my rating?
