I met Aris in the Chess.com Discord server in August this year. For those that don't know, he was a Chess.com official coach and was kind, genuine, and one of the most encouraging people I've ever met. He passed away last month, I only found out recently because he was inactive across Discord, Chess.com, Lichess, and didn't respond to calls/texts.
I wrote a short blog in hopes that the community remembers him, even if you didn't know him, and that chess fans would continue to uphold the things he valued most in the community we all love: guiding beginners and sharing the same passion he did for chess.
