Week 1 Day 1

1084 Blitz

1181 Rapid

1613 Puzzles

BEGINNER study plan.

Kinda aiming for 200 points gain in each rating category.
I'm confident (mostly) with my openings. I usually don't blunder anything major there, sometimes a pawn, or a minor piece but It's really the middle and endgames I think I need to improve on the most.

Nice! It'll take time but I think 200 points is a very good goal! You got this

Good luck, now just stop blundering in other parts of the game and it will be great

Well. End of first week. I did day 6 and 7 in opposite order, but here I am.

7 Daily games completed rating at 935 provisionally.  4wins 3 losses, but 3 out of those 4 wins were just my opponent abandoned the game, not exactly satisfying or educational. 1 of the losses was because I had two options to defend a pawn and chose the wrong one. position became unplayable very quickly. the other two I was up against strong players who got the better of me.

Puzzles rating has improved a little up to 1680. I'm generally getting 3.5 correct out of the 5 dailies.

Rapid rating has declined a little bit down to 1167. I got tilted by weird opening variations. one which ended up with a closed position and their Knight was just far too strong vs my bishop with all other things being equal.

I have to give up on trying to improve my chess right now. I'm getting emotional in my games. I'm already stressed due to multiple other factors. It's just too hard right now. Wake me up when 2020 ends maybe..

what I might keep up with is the puzzles. If I limit myself to only doing puzzles maybe I'll still make some gains when I restart playing games.

No problem at all, you definitely don't want chess to bring you down. Pick stuff back up when you're feeling ready again. Life always comes first! Keep us updated
