This is unrelated to chess but these are fun riddles. Post more if you some.

1. A man has a donkey, a wolf, and some cabbages. He has to ferry them over a river. He can only take one thing at a time. The wolf will eat the donkey if he ferries the cabbages first, and if he ferries the wolf first, the donkey will eat the cabbages. Sure, he ferries the donkey first, but then what?

There are five girls in a room. There is also a basket with 5 apples in it. Each girl takes one apple, but after all the girls have taken, there is still one apple in the basket. How can this be? This is harder
