I am certain it is an advantage to be red or yellow and have the king on the right. The server should try to balance the colour you get.
indeed! excellent point!

so far, a about 60% of you prefer random seating. how about for the "play teams"-version? do you still prefer random?
i find the claiming question more intersting. the community appears diveded roughly 50:50 on this.
it's blocked by a cookie and leaves an empty row. not starting survey also leaves empty row i think)
judge for yourself:

The results show that everyone voted once (no repetitive votes). But I just tried and managed to vote two times successively, providing the names "Test" and "Test 2".
i don't understand icy.
option A: it's my move, i have no legal move = > i am stalemated
option B: it's not my move yet, but if it were i would be in stalemate therefore i am stalemated right now. oh look, after the next move i wasn't in stalemate anymore. but i'm already stalemated + thus dead. call this selfstalemate perhaps?
btw i don't know if currently stalemate still occurs on another players move. i haven't achieved or seen stalemate in a game in over a month. "stalemate is as in regular chess" lets me believe B) no longer happens. @battleMind24?
i remember getting stalemated just after making a move, which is why i put it in this survey. although i won the game thanx to it, it made no sense. it was very unlikely that it would still have been in stalemate after another move was made by each player.
