Ruy Lopez, Morphy Defense: A hidden treasure.

Today, I will talk about a great opening you need to know: Ruy Lopez, Morphy Defense. If you feel like knowing about just continue.

In this position black will get the advantage. It starts with The King's Pawn Opening:

Black will respond with 1.e5:

After this move, White will play Kf3 and, then you will want to defend your pawn, so, play Kc6:

'Free pawn.' your opponent will think. They'll take the King's Pawn and you will start the attack by Qb4.

Your opponent won't wanna lose a knight and will retreat to F3 (Nf3) which now gives you a clear check AND a free pawn.

Now, who would want to waste their castling? Not me. They will block with Qe2. And the queen trade comes here. (Qxe2+, Kxe2).

Now, bishop time! Bg4. 'Yes, he got distracted!' your opponent will say. Re1 threatening a discovery check. And finally O-O-O (or Bf3, your choice.)
