Thought I posted this yesterday but my connection must have glitched. With a group this size I am going to run the second edition of the league until all of the starting players have played each other once, while allowing others to join if interested. Then I'll reset the standings. So the pairings for this week are rrccll33 (white) vs. yalnifj (black), imwinning60 (white) vs. digiassn (black), Tvalidivia7 (white) vs. Damiendash191 (black), and blockdog2087 (white) vs. Tarkil42 (black). Are we using this forum to report our game results? If so, I wanted to report the results of my game with yalnifj today at noon. (If not I'll report them anyway and I can report them on the discord server later if needed. yalnifj won by checkmate in 41 moves. I played well in the opening and had a slight lead going into the middle game, but he played better in the middle and endgame and that made all the difference. Good game yalnifj. Well played!
Just got done playing damiendash this morning. We played a dutch game that was decently fiery and played a very even game throughout most of the opening and middle game. The difference were just some tactical pins where I was able to gain some material and ended up pulling it out because of that. Well fought damiendash
Just finished my game with Blockdog. Nothing too crazy, opened with a Queen's Gambit that transposed into a Slav. Traded queens pretty early in the midgame, then after a bit of maneuvering we traded off most everything else, but when the dust settled I was up 2 pawns in a rook & pawn endgame, leading to my win by resignation on move 37.
While I am still waiting on the game result between imwinning60 and digiassn, I am going to update the standings and post pairings for next week. Tarkil42, yalnifj, and Tvalidivia7 are all on 1 point, while rrccll33, blockdog2087, and damiendash have 0 points. The pairings for next week are yalnifj (white) vs. imwinning60 (black), digiassn (white) vs. Tvalidivia7 (black), damiendash (white) vs. Blockdog2087 (black), and tarkil42 (white) vs. rrccll33 (black). imwinning60 and I played our game last night. It was a hard fought QGD, but I ended up with the bishop pair which made the difference after the board opened up in the center during the middle game. I eventually went up an exchange with a rook for a bishop. In the end, I won by resignation on move 35. Well played imwinning60.

I lost my match to digiassn in a close game but a huge blunder in the end cost me the game

This forum is meant to handle the organization of the SACC Rapid League, which was taking place on the discord server. The rules are as follows:
1. About once per week (usually on Sundays), I will update the standings and post the pairings for the next week.
2. Participants are then responsible for messaging their opponent and arranging a mutual agreeable time for a game. The game must take place before a week has passed since the last posting.
3. The games are 15 | 10 time control
4. If a game cannot be arranged, the players can decide between themselves how to split the point (be civil, this is a social league).
5. Postgame discussion is highly encouraged
