sad... (FFA under 2400)

I am of course pretty aware that 95% (or more) of FFA players simply do not feel the game and don't know some basics (like https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/basic-ffa-aspects), etc.

Strong players of course must be able to adapt, even when playing with 1800 or 2200 players, etc. (It's difficult though, and quite often I lose because I basically fail to adapt to some incompetent players in front who don't understand how to play FFA and make lose themselves and myself; I'm trying to learn how to deal with that issue...).

But what I personally HATE, that's when some 2100-2400 idiots who are totally against any cooperation, then throw the game totally to someone else, just in order to "punish" me to have played FFA normally.

What is revealing, that's their opinion/attitude/mentality/thoughts about FFA, which is pure misconception. For instance, a 2357 player has just made me 2nd in Solo, offering the game basically to another player. 30 minutes waste for me! And it's not my "paranoiac interpretation", but pure truth, here are the comments from the guy in the chat:

That shows BTW a clear rating inflation; some 2-3 years ago it was INIMAGINABLE for a 2300+ player a) to ignore that openly and stupidly the best strategy, b) to feel "cheated" if someone cooperates and to say that it does not comply with the rules (which is obviously false).

This particular incompetent player will later certainly either progress to 2500+ (after he will have understood how FFA is to be played actually) or will remain at 2350 or below. (As for politeness, it's unlikely he will change - at 33 years age, people don't change anymore).

This is not your place just to put some stupid complaints about how people play. This is the same exact problem I had with your other forum. So what if he did something most other players would find stupid or not?  It's very tiresome having to deal with this nonsense for the 2nd time in a row. I feel bad for the person who practically got exposed because he isn't playing how most high rated players play.

FFA means FREE FOR ALL. They may play however they want!

I'm complaining that some people accuse others of "cheating" (which is extremely common at 1800-2100 levels, but used to be quite rare above 2200... Now I see it from a 2357!).

VP, I've exposed NOBODY. That would not be compliant with the forum rules, FYI. And I only used this concrete example for some general considerations.

Regardless of the validity of the things presented in this forum, isn't it getting a bit repetitive? I can understand if other people feel like this is simply venting; especially when your audience is the same every time.

I'm just trying to understand why he keeps doing this, all he's doing is increasing his chance of receiving more and more backlash with each unsolicited post he makes.

If I want to share some thoughts, I may. Nobody obliges you to read. Whereas to react just to say something negative about the author of the post is NOT CONSTRUCTIVE, NOR USEFUL. Just toxic.

Nope guys, it's pure demagogy, but unfortunately for you I was taught how to recognise it already more than 25 years ago. 

One may criticise as much as he wants the IDEAS AND THOUGHTS AND SENTENCES, whereas what Vand. did was an absolutely gratuitous attack against the author of a thread. Quite different.

It is constructive, you're just refusing to listen. You can't blame me for getting tired of this same nonsense and expect me not to say something negative about a negative post that has no need to exist. Sure, you're free to post (as long as it isn't rule breaking) whatever you want. But at least think about what you post because I doubt for the last two forums you posted what criticism you were going to receive.

Second of all, what I'm saying isn't toxic at all. In fact, you're the one being toxic with venting your frustration with these posts that include insulting players.    

And lastly, don't say I reacted in a totalitarian way just for caring about other players.

And TheCheese, look at how long on 4pchess spent yt4pc and myself, and what are our respective ratings, I am not quite sure it is really pertinent to compare, so I don't buy your idea. And just for your information, it's now MORE THAN 4 YEARS I'm writing on this forum, all kind of threads. Some like, some don't. On some of my threads PLENTY of players reacted, and discussed the topic, and criticised a lot what I was saying, and it's 100% normal and Ok. What YOU are doing here is not criticism, but pure demagogy and personal attacks and trolling. Sad.

Secondly, we're being dead serious when we say these things. What you're doing is absolutely wrong and you just can't understand that.
