Is there a tournament today?
Saturday Events Time Controls

29|0 scheduled for tomorrow.
We have an extra weekend for this month, so will likely end up with another 15 with some increment again, maybe 10. Next month, we will probably do something like this:
Week 1: Blitz -- the most popular choice was 10|0
Week 2: Quick/ Rapid -- 15|2 -- open to changing the increment
Week 3: Blitz again? -- again, most popular request was 10|0
Week 4: Quick/Rapid -- 29/0
We'll see how well attended we can get on the second month. So far it has been minimal and not promising.

I would like to see 30 minute time controls.
Why aren't there more of these? It seems like you have to start learning to play games that are 15 minutes or less or else you can never get a USCF rating on-line.

Not allowed. Though you could always contact them asking to see if they plan on ever adding an Online Regular rating.
For now, best we can do is G/29.
Like 15/10, would be great if could have 2 groups with one for under 1400, or something similar but that may not be fesible online.

It would be technically feasible but overall turnouts don't really justify sections.

Are these still happening? I'm a little late to the party but I vote for absolutely anything with increment. I believe 5 5 or 10 10 would be my favorite. In fact, I'd even enjoy and perform better in 3 2 than I would in 10 0.
I'm quite surprised to see so many fans of non-increment games. I'd like to hear more explanations of why so I could try to better understand. Increment basically exists primarily to better ensure a win by the player who is better. There can't be anything wrong with that.
We have had events with prizes in the past. Don't think cash prizes will ever happen though.
