Should I Skip Next Untitled Tuesday?

I went like 3/10 last time (including a bye). I mean, I play like garbage, so I’m thinking whether I should even play.

Mi_Amigo

not to make fun of Lorgen(That dude bans me for an hour all the time) but you should play it, I went 1/23 in the recent NSPCL tourney and that one point was from flagging, 4 times I was like a few moves away from beating @AstroFerz and @Wind and one other dude, but playing against people is what makes use learn, skipping would be simply laying down your weapon and surrendering

Entirely up to you. We can't all win it happy.png If it's not fun, then why play, obviously. But if you're still enjoying it, why quit?

There are still 15 days left before the next UT begins. You should be fully recovered at that point if you just move on as if your 3/10 has never happened. blitz.png

Well I do. Flagging? Blundering a piece? Losing a rook (like I did?)...all sorts of these things happen to everyone. Just move on an you will be fine.

no. more like getting crushed by a 900, hanging pieces left and right.

that's because of bad days, I've lost 250 points on a single day cuz of those, dont play when that happens

I've lost a little more than 200 points in bullet too, but after taking things slowly, playing lesser, I regained most of the points lost. So, don't play many games when you see you're continuously losing, and losing badly. Stop for a moment, clear your mind, then start fresh again, and play less games

@IMRonilm1204, is not like you lose 100 or 200 points like other people do in bullet. You are 1256 when you started the Saturday UT tournament, you dropped 48 points to 1208 when you finished the tournament, and now you are at your peak of 1292. I once dropped from 2150+ bullet all the way down to 1910 (also included a 5-game losing streak) I stopped playing for 1 day and started playing again when I lost another handful of game which send me to the 1800s. However, I quickly regained my from and got back to 2000 the next 3 days, then I stayed around there for 3 weeks, each day playing 5 games max, and before I knew it, when I started playing again I blasted the 2100 mark and within a week I broke 2200 for the first time! Two days later I reached a peak of 2303!!! You can do such a thing too!

48 is a tragedy! that is the most I’ve lost in a day (even in my old account)

still. thank you

Don't skip it.  Everyone has bad tournaments.  There's a lot of tough players in these events, and playing stronger players is a great way to learn.

losingforever

I've had a 2/10 in a Saturday tournament and that didn't stop me from playing the next one

chesssky2
