Then I would recommend you start playing the Scandinavian instead of the Sicilian. In chess it’s better to play one opening a thousands times the a thousand openings one time. I wish you luck on your journey in chess and feel free to PM me if you have any questions 🙂

This. He should play the Scandinavian or an easy opening he knows like the back of his hand 1000+ times, it’ll pay off way more than blundering in the Sicilian over and over
Yes I used to play the Sicilian when I was around his rating but once I switched to the caro chess became a lot easier!
