I prefer the smith-morra gambit - I can post some stuff later this evening.
Sicilian defense

That's the one with the Qxd4 after d4 and exd4 right? I've gone with that one, but have a hard time moving my queen into the middle of the board so early in the game. Any suggestions?

this has been the most common variation of the sicilian that i've played and seen played, with the exception of the king knight pawn being moved on blacks second move.

the smith-morra trap..if they play rookbusters line above...this happens more often than you'd think..
Attached is a recently played 5 minute blitz game that I played on Playchess.com.
See game below. It is a Halasz Gambit - Sicilian Variation. 1.e4 c5 2.e4 cxd4 3.Bd3.

Post strategy vs Sicilian defense. Prefered moves after initial c5 for black or white and why you made that move. Any discussion on variations. Would like to know any theories behind the openings.
