Smyslov passed away

I just heard the bad news that the 7th World Champion Vassily Smyslov died March 26 I believe due to heart failure. He was the oldest living World Champion prior to his death.Perhaps the strongest GM during the 1950's.

It is a loss for chess, surely. A great player who rightfully earned the title. My condolences to his family.

could never pronounce his name but a great guy.. possibly the 3rd best endgame player ever.
