Some help/analysis please

Hey guys.

This July I played in the Norwegian Championship as my first outing in Live chess. I was wondering if I could have the groups help in analysing the games, in particular if there are any tendencies that repeat themselves during my games. Towards that end I'll post all my 9 games here, adding some notes on key moves I've identified myself. Any and all feedback is welcome. Note: I played in class 5, that is players with a norwegian rating below 1000.

Game 1 - I play WHITE:

Game 2 - I play Black:

Game 3 - I play White:

Game 4 - I play White:

Game 5 - I play Black:

Game 6 - I play White:

Game 7 - I play Black:

Game 8 - I play Black:

Game 9 - I play White:

There you have it. As I said, anything at all that would help me develop myself would be a big thank you.

Hi. Its cool that you have posted all of your games. I have only gonr through the first one so far but i am looking forward to going through the rest. Your opening is where you lost it i think. I have fallen for that so many times myself. The  best way that i have found to play that opening is, after e4 d5 take the pawn on d5 and when he retakes with the queen develop your knight to c3 attacking it. Then you can develop nicely. If you can keep developing pieces to where they are protected and attacking his queen. If you can do that with your minor pieces you will be way ahead in development and you shouldnt have many problems in the game. :)

Just went through your second game. It wasnt the knight move that lost it for you as such. Ok it let him get ahead in development but it was not fatal. The real blunder there was when you played f6. Knight to f6 would have been better as it would have developed a minor piece and it would not have opened up the check line for the white queen. Bishop to c5 was bad. I know it is natural to protect a pawn that is up the board but maybe it would have been better to take the pawn on c3 instead or play pawn to c5 to protect the pawn. :)

Just looked through game three. To be honest move 17 knight to e1 might not have been the best move. Generally in chess it is a bad move to retreat a piece if it is not under attack. But having said that i thought it was very well played on your part. Really good game.

Game 4 was a really good game. To be honest with you I couldnt find any faults with it but then again im not rated too highly myself. Maybe a higher rated player can but i thought it was great chess. :)

To be honest the rest of the game seem pretty good. A few blunders but i think you have mentioned all of those. All in all I think you are a really solid player. I think that in the first few games it could have been nerves that let you down and caused you to make a few bad moves but as you played more games you settled down and played some really good chess. To be honest, I know im not rated that much higher than you but if I had played these games in a tournament I would be extremely happy with myself. Thats my opinion and analysis of the games. I hope this helps :)

Going through these now with a fresh load of experience. Seeing my previously pointed out mistakes even clearer now, but one major tactic I missed in game 6 became obvious, so I'll share my insight. Move 26 is the situation at hand, see how I could have had a crushing advantage in the alternative line I've input here:
