Yes, I couldn't afford it either.  Looks like I'll have to learn woodwork and make my own if I ever want to own something like that.

Yes, I couldn't afford it either.  Looks like I'll have to learn woodwork and make my own if I ever want to own something like that.

Not really / just a idea  I had , What about geting a old antique  table then cut a hole to fit board size etc , in middle with support strut under the table . would need to clean up & make good on finish , but doable wink.png and way cheaper !

Same here; even considered cutting a hole in my dining table. The things we (may) do for a game of chess. Seeing the kids with some plastic pieces and vinyl, playing on the floor and having at least as much fun stops me from those less than prudent actions...

The option of square sizes is nice though. I thought about buying, but hmmm. Cost, space in the house, kids walking around. So no.
