After I share this with you, your plateau should end. In the early stages, playing people below 1,000, its all amateur fun. Now you have to start acting like a tournament player and the good news is you've played some really instructive competition. I hope you've been saving your games! Out of your last 49 games 24 have been against players 1,000 and up and from that you've garnished 5.5.

1st thing I know is that you are moving to fast!? You been plying blitz and bullet here and your rated career started on line! In person is way different. Double check your moves before you even reach for a piece.

Next, you need to get into the sports methodology. That's play, rest, analyze, reflect, fix, and repeat.

Play like it matters. In a real world game, you are invested, and there are real world prizes.

You have to rest. Translation, the 1st thing you do when you get home from a tournament is make sure your score sheets are accurate and make a mental note of how you feel and how you think you did.

tomorrow it's time to analyze. you analyze it 1st, then put it on the engine of the review.

After you have analyzed all the games from the tournament, it's time to reflect on what you did right.

Fix. Whatever you leave out of what you did right, pick one or 2 of those things to work on with a book or a stronger player. Playing or watching videos is not the best fix. People talk and so do books. Playing and videos are what have you stuck. lol

Repeat. Go to a tournament knowing this is what you will do when you get home.

You took the plunge playing players all the way up to 2000!! analyze those games you played with people over 1000, learn how dangerous you can be, take your time, and go beat the snot out of some people!! Let me know if this was helpful
