Daily Games :: 
Have more than 30 games going...whittling down but got plenty of time in here.
Puzzles/Tactics :: Trained tactics/puzzles daily.
Games :: 
Played (3) 15|10 games and analyzed each. Would like to get in (5) 15|10 games per week.
Lessons/Endgames :: Completed 5 endgame trainings and lessons.
Extra Credit :: Not any listed in the Beginner program but I did play one long (75|30) game and watch a video on thinking during puzzles.

Week #2 Tasks and Updates
Daily Games :: 
Still playing in several tournaments so easily getting in my time here.
Puzzles/Tactics/Logical Chess :: Trained tactics/puzzles daily. Reviewed the first three games in Chernev.
Games :: I was able to get in six 15|10 games this week. I went 3-3. I still need to watch the safety of my pieces. In two of the three games, I blundered my queen. Another way to improve is better long range board vision. I tend to miss moves by my long range bishop. I just do not see them.
Openings/Endgames :: Spent some time looking at responses to London as I see that often.
Extra Credit :: Not any listed in the Beginner program but I did play one long (75|30) game. Great game and longest I've played at 130min total. Happy to report I won.

Daily Games :: Still playing in several tournaments so easily getting in my time here.
Puzzles/Tactics/Logical Chess :: Trained tactics/puzzles daily. Started 'Bishops on the Attack' on Chessable. Completed games 4-6 in Chernev.
Games :: Seven 15|10 games this week, going +5/-2. I missed a Mate-in-One in one of my loses - struggling to see those long range moves, particularly with bishops. Need to watch openings a little more closely as got down a pawn early by not paying attention in one game.
Openings/Endgames :: Spent some time looking at responses to London and French as I see that often.
Extra Credit :: Finished up a 75|30 weekly tournament as part of DHLC here on chess.com. I won the U1000 division so happy with my play in longer, classical time controls.

Week #5 Tasks and Updates
Daily Games :: Still playing in several tournaments so easily getting in my time here. Rating has really surged last couple of months. From <1000 to almost 1200 now.
Puzzles/Tactics/Logical Chess :: Trained tactics/puzzles daily. Working on Chessable course. Chernev 10-12.
Games :: Five 15|10 games this week, going +3/-2. Giveaways are a real problem. Both of my loses were games I was handily winning and then I lose concentration. It's not that I can't make the moves to get me above 1000, it's that I am not making them consistently. I just check out for a move or two and then wham, advantage gone. I slowed down and paid better attention and won three in a row to finish the week.
Openings/Endgames :: Practiced endgames and reviewed opening responses to London, French and Caro Kahn.

Week #6 Tasks and Updates
Daily Games :: Multiple Daily tournaments keeping me busy. Managed to win an U1000 tournament I started back in August.
Puzzles/Tactics/Logical Chess :: Trained tactics/puzzles daily. Chernev 13-15. Chess.com puzzles rating now over ~1900.
Games :: Seven15|10 games this week, going +5/-2. Just like the last few weeks, losses are due to a complete zone out/not thinking. Up handily in both losses this week and simply didn't consider the position before moving. Need to slow down between moves in the middlegame and take advantage of the leads I tend to build in the opening.
Openings/Endgames :: Practiced endgames and reviewed opening responses to London, French, Caro Kann and Sicilian.

Games :: Eight rapid games this week, going +6/-2. A few ugly wins and really bad/blown losses but on the whole, believe I am playing better. Things are starting to click a bit more often.
Openings/Endgames :: Didn't complete my opening training this week. Did have a lesson, so some strategic focus time, at least.

Daily Games :: My one-day tournaments are winding down so with mostly 3-days, I can reduce the time here a bit. Still way above what the plan calls for.

Games :: Four games this week, going +2/=1/-4. Rotated between 15|10. 20 and 30min games. Most recent game probably best I've played.

Week #9 Tasks and Updates
Daily Games :: 
Spent way too much time here his week. Trying to extract myself from the tournaments without taking a huge rating hit, so pushing to finish out the round in several tournaments and then withdraw.
Puzzles/Tactics/Logical Chess :: Didn't train a few days this week and due to time spent on Daily games, didn't complete my Chernev either.
Games :: Four rapid games this week, winning all four. Have seen a lot of rating improvement in the last ~ 3 weeks. Things are clicking (for my level).
Openings/Endgames :: Didn't complete my opening training this week. Did have a lesson, so some strategic focus time, at least.

Week #10 Tasks and Updates
Daily Games :: Winding down my tournaments, still getting in plenty of time.
Puzzles/Tactics/Logical Chess :: Back on track with Chernev and completed an average of 5 puzzles/day.
Games :: 10 Rapid games this week, going 5-5. Had two strings of really bad games that made up my losses. Moving too quickly was the main problem. More than half of these games were against opponents rated 100+ points higher. Also played a long game this week (60|30) which I won.
Openings/Endgames :: 
Didn't complete my opening training this week. Did have a lesson, so some strategic focus time, at least.

Week #11 Tasks and Updates - One week to go!
Daily Games :: Time much more under control now. Still several tournaments going now but most 3 days/move allows more spacing.
Puzzles/Tactics/Logical Chess :: Chernev games 28-30 and Puzzles training completed.
Games :: 8 Rapid games this week, going 4-3-1. The draw was against a player almost 200+ over my rating and better endgame knowledge would have secured the win.
Openings/Endgames :: Openings training completed.
Extra Credit :: Long game completed as part of club tournament (60|30). Have had one game the last four weeks, going 4-0 in the U1100 division. Also going to shoot for a game or two of Lichess classical this week.

Daily Games :: First week in awhile where Daily time was where it should have been (instead of too high!)

Games :: 11 Rapid games this week, going 5-5-1. Not terrible but two of the losses were games I shouldn't have played - at the gym and couldn't focus.
Openings/Endgames :: Openings training completed.

Extremely happy with my results. I had been stuck at ~1000 for over two months when I started the Beginner 1 plan. To gain 175 points, with almost all of that coming in 8 weeks is more than I hoped!!
Howdy folks! I'll be following a modified version of the Beginner Study Plan. By modified, I mean playing only Rapid games, no Blitz. I took a lesson last week and was strongly advised to focus on Rapid games w/ analysis and an occasional longer game in lieu of Blitz.
