One of my newly discovered favorites -Fandango-

The "Fandango" piece associated with classical tango is typically attributed to Luigi BoccheriniHe composed a "Fandango" (also known as the "Fandango from Quintet No. 4 in D Major") which is part of his quintet for string instruments and guitar.

Amy Beach (Amy Marcy Cheney Beach) was a pioneering American composer and pianist, particularly renowned for being the first American woman to compose and publish a symphony, the "Gaelic Symphony". She also wrote the "Mass in E flat," a groundbreaking work performed by Boston's Handel and Haydn Society. Her success as a composer was remarkable, especially considering the challenges women faced in the music world during her time.

Amy Beach's "A Hermit Thrush at Eve" and "A Hermit Thrush at Morn" are piano pieces inspired by the bird's song, which she transcribed during her time at the MacDowell ColonyThese works are included in the "Historical Anthology of Music by Women". The pieces use the bird's calls as melodic material and also feature imitation techniques.

Im not christain or religious, but I heard this on the radio and grabbed it. The dark and sad emotion eminating from the strings and aria are quite dank and alluring.

The Stabat Mater is a 13th-century Christian hymn to the Virgin Mary that portrays her suffering as mother during the crucifixion of her son Jesus Christ.

Kurt Weill originally wrote "Youkali" as an instrumental interlude for the 1934 French play Marie Galante by Jacques Deval.

I guess I love tango.

"Hernando's Hideaway" is a tango show tune, largely in long metre, from the musical The Pajama Game, written by Jerry Ross and Richard Adler and published in 1954. It was sung in the stage and film versions of the musical by Carol Haney. The song is about a fictional invitation-only nightclub of the same name where lovers can meet for secret rendezvous. In the few years after the song's release, a number of artists had hit recordings of it, including Archie BleyerJohnnie RayThe Johnston Brothers, and Ella Fitzgerald.
