Suggestion For Rules

Here's some rules that have proven to be liked by the majority of chess.com's Western members

1. Personal attacks are not allowed. Attack the topic NOT the messenger.

2. Naming members in headlines is not allowed. However discussing about club members in threads is allowed.

3. Vulgar words shall not be overly used. They are, however, allowed in threads. Not in headlines.

4. Spaming is Not allowed, and will be harshly deleted and warned about. Refusing to abide on this paragraph will result in muting, and if continued in banning.

5. Politics is allowed. All sides of politics are encouraged to participate in orderly debating.

6. All religions are allowed. However, Christianity is our religion of choice, and it will overrule other religions in serious situations.

7. All sexualities are allowed. However, heterosexuality is our sexuality of choice, and it will overrule other sexualities in serious situations.

8. All theories of Science are allowed, including Flat Earth theories. However, heliocentric globality is our scientific stance of choice, and it will overrule other stances in serious situations.

Why include Christianity is our religion of choice ? It isn't mine for example nor see any sense in claiming it to be of the group . Also rule number 7 should be a given for granted that all sexuality should be allowed but to say heterosexual is our sexuality of choice is neither here or there . Yes it is mine yours and probably of admins here so far , doesnt mean that in the future someone who is not straight might join admin team.

Point number one needs to be very clear , that we will not tolerate offensive or threatening messages though we realise people will get heated in discussion so will initially be muted and warned , persistent offenders will be banned.

Anyway these are my views , I encourage everyone to have their say .

I like them. But I want us to respect that many countries only allow Politics from 18 years of age.

Ok . Place the rules . I go by majority vote .

I presented these rules in the Open Ideas club, and I was told that they were not wanted. Shortly thereafter @RoobieRoo demoted me to plain member.

Today the Open Ideas club is packed with insulters and abusive peeople. That's what happens when leaders are weak and incompetent like @IWORSHIPGOD2.
