TCC-39 Round 3 Games

Enterprising play in the center allowed me to get a decisive grip on Mennella in a Nimzo Indian with a dark square strategy.  White had to play the miserable 19.Nb3 in order to complete his development and Black never gave him any rest after that.

King is one of those players that high rated folks don't like to play because he can be so dangerous. Here he holds his own against Vadim until late in the middle game before succumbing to a tactic.

Marius is a very talented player and his game often have little drops of poison scattered throughout.  Here he plays the funny looking 23.Ke2 allowing Qh2 with the idea of playing 24.Nf5+ and if 24...exf5 then 25.Qf7 Kh8 26.Ng6 is mate! The idea of Nf5+ is served up in a different bottle a little later in the game and after grabbing many of Paschal's cookies, Marius heads for a easy ending.
