team mode - capturing partner's pieces

sometimes capturing a piece of your ally is actually a good move, expecially in particular situations where it is only a sacrificable pawn, or you need to deliver check, or you just want to unblock 2 pawns (if you want to promote one of the 2)

Exactly!  Though the intent by @The-Lone_Wolf is respected there are far too many trolls on team 4PC to undergo this.

MCCLEdward

What if you need permission from your partner to take one of their pieces?

lol

but anyway if your partner wants to troll and make you lose, he will easily make it anyway, does not matter if he can take your pieces or not

maybe for random team setting, their could be a reject button if you get paired with a known spammer or troll. I would suggest a way to add spammers & Trolls to a  list so everyone will know but that would most likely get abused by people that get mad for being put on the list. so the person responsible for controlling the list would have to wade though tons of garbage or course then the person submitting the garbage complaints could risk potential banishment.
Hence the reason many beneficial features are only available to paid subscription memberships.

I so need to win the lottery... If I had the extra money to play the lotto, I could most likely pay for a subscription to chess.com...

I don't think this is a good idea.  For one thing you would get trolls and people who didn't realise they were playing teams.  For another, you can't capture your own pieces, and your partner's pieces are essentially part of the same army.

MCCLEdward

You could give a certain, I don't know, "points." The more points some one has, the more times they have trolled others. If you have a certain amount of points, then your partner could kick you from their team. If a troll abuses the point system by giving out constant points, then the partner could report the troll..? IDK

The-Lone-Wolf

I don't think there is too much of a problem with trolls

@MGleason it is not the same army since they don't move at the same time, capturing would make perfect sense, it also makes the game more sharp

Troll can do other thing just resign or time out make it a easy  winn

unnecessary complication.   bad idea

@The_Lone_Wolf Your original idea is worth weighing but IMO not worth inserting into 4PC as it would make it kind of like FFA.  With too many team members paired up with one who tend to be a-holes, you get one who decides to turn 4PC into FFA for the sake of pissing not just your team opponents off but you their teammate and it's a wrap.  In addition, it's team so you would think you'd both be in sync by some chat communication to notify the other side not to push a certain file's Pawn as you want to promote your own Pawn onto that square.
